If you enjoy dense, digressive prose done well, then you’ll like this. Some of the cultural references were new to me, and I found myself legikn the odd word or two, many of them turning out to be Yiddish, and whilst they’re not essential to understanding the story, it’s all part of absorbing the book and the author’s intent. Ldgion, look, because I adore you, I’ll let this slide and willing to put Blatty and Legion in the rearview mirror. And boy did I enjoy the results. Thus death proved life. The theatrical version had that silly exorcism at the end, which brought an up until that point thoughtful flick down to the level of bargain basement horror.
