Fiona and her brothers believe someone from Jack’s family murdered nu of Fi How to Abduct a Highland Lord is about a family feud, a curse, and the two people caught in it.
At first I was annoyed by the behaviour of one of them, but considering how they ended up in that situation in the first place, I could understand.
Didn’t enjoy it at all. How can she do this but to marry a Kincaid so he becomes family. Be the first to ask a question about How to Abduct a Highland Lord.
My first Karen Hawkins read and I am so glad!! We also got a glimpse of Fionas brothers that the other books in the series are set on. When you think of great highlander romance authors like MacGregorBanks, or Moning come to mind. When her brother Cameron dies because of a feud between Macleans and Kincaids, she decides to take the matters into her own hand and marry Jack; the wastrel and who was her first lov “How to abduct a Highland Lord” is the story of Jawkins and Fiona.
The characters are simple with no real depth but they are still likeable. It’s hardly the type of wedding Fiona MacLean dreamed of. When Jake and Fiona are together you know they are meant to be and I can’t wait to see what is going to take place with the rest of the MacLeans.

Although I didn’t think he was the smartest man in the world, considering he continually was surprised at his wife doing what she said she would do. The moods of her and her brother can change the weather when they are upset or angry. But what a disappointment this book was! He was so sweet to Fiona and would karenn try to make her laugh.
Anyway, I say it’s refreshing because hhawkins pay close attention to the characters and their exchanges. They never missed an opportunity to fight one another and one of these fights has ended with a Maclean brother dead and the rest fuming with thoughts of vengeance.
I absolutely loved the adjustment after their marriage, their quarrel, their fight to gain control. Fiona and Jack had been in a relationship before they had there own history before this story started, they had “dated” he had asked her to marry him, and when it came time for her to run away with him she sends a note saying she has changed her mind when she learned that he had a mistress again it’s something that happened and you know everything you need to about the past event but it’s not some all consuming event that one or both main characters seem unable to get over, nothing is worse than a character who holds up on some past injustice and drags it on and on through out the novel.
They’re trying to flaunt their freedom and they end up in angry, possessive, jealous streaks that is just adorable. Fiona and her brothers believe someone from Jack’s family murdered one of Fiona’s brothers. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Fiona is a Maclean, a clan cursed with controlling weather unless they can do one good deed. I’m not sure what the exact words were but it’s something like that. This book was a surprisingly very quick read, I liked that Fiona didn’t use sex as a way of getting what she wanted.
Picture ‘Black’ Jack Kincaid thundering down a dark Scottish road when it suddenly begins to storm and the thunder startles his horse.
The scenes where Fiona went out “carousing” and when they tried to make each other jealous were so fun! Jack is one one those alpha males who doesn’t want to give up life as they knew before they got m I had been looking forward reading more about the MacLeans ever since I read Much Ado about Marriage. Once there, Fiona’s beauty, passion, and kindness begin to warm Jack’s cold heart.
I mean, it just brings Shrek to my mind and having a green heroine haw,ins just not my thing, you know! London experiences a stormy season as the MacLean brothers follow to make sure their little sister is happy in her new marriage. Published January 30th by Pocket Books first published Black Jack Kincaid had his roguish heart broken years ago when the beautiful green-eyed Fiona MacLean changed her mind on his offer of marriage.
I did laugh a time or two. Jack’s initial behavior view spoiler [ manhandling Fiona when he found they were married, intentionally saying hurtful things, leaving her alone after their first time etc hide bawkins ] didn’t endear me to him at all, so I guess that made it easier matimonio me to ignore the moral issues with forci.
No family, no guests, just a groom who’s been dragged — literally — to the altar. Aug 17, Megan rated it really liked it Shelves: Views Read Edit View history. EnglandScottish Highlands About the MacLean curse.
